John Philip May
for State Representative
Member of the Green Party running for State Representative of Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook.
Why I am running for state representative
We live in a beautiful region of Connecticut; rolling green hills, ancient farmsteads, scenic waterways and a long history going back to the first English colonists and before that to the native nations that called this area home. When my wife and I chose the town of Clinton it checked all our boxes: a safe , friendly community, good public schools, stunning scenery , horse farms , a bounty of locally sourced fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood and proximity to America's two great cities: New York & Boston.
I am running for State Representative because I want to do my part in improving the lives and livelihoods of the people in our community. I want to give our kids better career opportunities by bringing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) programs to our schools. I want to bring tax relief to our seniors who have dedicated their lives to our community. I want to attract employers to our community to provide jobs. I want to make local businesses feel welcome. I want to lower the cost of living by exploring municipality controlled electricity. I want to be a representative who answers to you - not the party bosses in Hartford.
This November , I sincerely ask you to send me, John May, to Hartford to represent district 35.
